Its so hard to believe 2010 is over and I somewhat made it the whole year! If I had to say, I'd think I probably missed about 60 days this year. Not too shabby in my opinion. I'm so thankful that I decided to take on Project 365 in 2010. I love looking back through the photos and having this documentation of our year. I plan to make my blog into a book and will cherish it forever! 2010 has been a great year for our family.

To celebrate the last day of the year, Chris and I went out with some friends last night. We got a last minute baby sitter for Owen yesterday. He went to his buddy Drew's grandparents house for his first sleepover with friends. I hear they have had a great time, a few spats, but overall he's done great. I'm excited to get the little guy back home and give him his New Year smooch from momma. :) I took some pictures of Chris and I on the last day of the year before we headed out. Its kind of funny to think that once your child does go away for the night you really just want to lounge on the couch and do nothing but relax! But we got dolled up and went out with some friends to downtown Nashville. It was a great time, lots of laughs, and we never really go out anymore so it was nice to get out. We started the night with our dear friends, the Jacobi's, at one of their friends' houses. Then we made our way down to Broadway where we watched the guitar drop with the thousands of other people downtown! After the guitar dropped, we went back out to East Nashville to a little bar called 3-Crow and had a few drinks. We rang in the new year with a bang and didn't get home until nearly 3am! That outing will last us until late 2011 probably. :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUL-igkkN2sJsP9HFJS1Et9DGEGCTnrxUoJw9Y225WUFQUxokokV6cJmziJ1HoI_g3wDBnh1yrdQN-zvjTmvEs9yibYB_0172TGP63HOb5a4ZFRICBR3JMvVtOcun8QtA73dcY9BWTkGdy/s400/IMG_7522%2528day365%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557291155647503058" />

Thanks to everyone who has followed me throughout the year. Tuesday was our anniversary. To celebrate we ordered pizza. ha! Chris got me a new charm for my Pandora bracelet and I love it. It a charm of wedding rings so it was just right for our big 8-year Anni. Last night we took down the Christmas trees and got everything hauled back up to the attic. Its kind of sad that its all over, but also kind of nice to have the house back to normal...whatever that is. We've been swimming in a sea of toys since getting home. The table O is coloring on in today's picture is actually sitting where the tree used to be.

Its hard to believe there's only 1 day left in the year! I'm getting ready for my last session of the year, the clients are on their way. Wish me luck, I always get so nervous!
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-30510713481029839732010-12-27T12:42:00.004-06:002010-12-27T12:46:17.966-06:00Day 361 - Winter Fun at the LakehouseWe are still at the lakehouse visiting with family. I got up first, besides my mom and dad, and enjoyed a cup of coffee waiting on the rest of the family and the kids to wake up. I got my cameras all set up and was ready.

When the boys came into my moms living room, Owen was really quiet and just looking around wondering what was going on. He walked over to me on the couch and I said, "What are all these toys, bub?" His response, "I don't know what all these toys are, momma." Haha. I think it was a little confused, shocked, and overwhelmed. It was cute.

Here are some pics from Christmas morning discovering all that Santa brought.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicfGl0_eo0UFy3itLfmJpQ6oyaoYmhoaZQwPJHlT4i0tSFARIU0GCsw6TurDxu-H_lu45SRVf52ldFfRK84T1ditynOD9Dr69mTG56FNz3uF6qIvBxvgM8mqgblllOf2WgNSw2siND5wOS/s400/IMG_7292%2528day359%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555222730924994242" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKPkHqg9MPe3bHyNJ1v7Le-EqMGHf02SxLNALw7z7QymEyWQpge6-L6if2ebxyC6TFsk-9UZRZXWjlaxcTkD76tPWNLFLdjNOcNNepXvdO9DCFpryBrdbBepJyQmbBgoj3PLeIXn4GoUjc/s400/IMG_7298%2528day359%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555222727928518194" />
While the kiddos played with their new gifts, my mom and dad got busy cooking our Christmas breakfast. I decided to take Owen to the movies for the first time! My photos from our date night will have to be uploaded from my iphone, as I didn't take my camera with me. :) It was so cute. I love to see him experience firsts. We saw Yogi Bear in 3D and he did pretty good. Next time I'm going to take him to a fully animated movie, I didn't realize Yogi had adults in it, and pass on the 3D portion. He wouldn't keep his glasses on. I'll add the pictures later when I transfer them from my phone. Its a date I want to remember. :)
ETA:iphone pics

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYlS8BQQ1r-TIWsyj1dkGm9q6b8OZpeqjiuE2s0DuSoiEoIoUXZHr7oLS9a91R8Q25PxcjWTDk31ZVgXbHWSymzmO_RGGXkqJej6lmy91qdUJzNNsLLZMALeVu9S81dGYIStvZp_BhzO0B/s400/IMG_5066.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557299997562741266" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcS9pQe8O9BzUqLDrHyvGKv_QMpt44aqqCxSqVn83rOO0dJJ0M2ToGgQiPcYdQ6D6EeTtKCx80aR-w8k8Np0YUZSI9wP_rfe3Z9l_EHiu2vG5Xr7_sQfz_5Gmm_oOlTXEjdNE6BM-1Mjlm/s400/IMG_5065.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557299992367356642" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXCPZA3Jhc-c5DMFNXUwpSUBefZABwVgC0N2AbeGOAKIHP0HjZfRTxnSXIaP6Pxuqs1OpxrR8NShlmNSS5fQQAuY9_G8mSPHahVzy_VpZHC2UsncPasDWajCaD1kkgijZhVHnaE0-8J1_Y/s400/IMG_5063.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557299988990570434" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvtDUXoS0lC0oWEu5_Mo7KUbWd8GEIQPU_m-otlRNpfSDD2aeMAR8sZbV7g66VlbBWg-Yjgj4EgIDEyQJOYOok_IgCtgn7_08caUyDf8E7ZnQND10Cb-bO4A7e6pGWfMcHxtEiUsTezQnH/s400/IMG_5064.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557300233461458818" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4M9XSNgP7a8kJXVTqUjshTNYiokWcjrL4nqe0HsgHdXa7baDkXGVQsgmu4hS5G1XAkl9_-pvRwUc2NkiPzMWyM5GRRd3J9b2cVSQDrhLjrmb4SJgKgFbr7RVkBWshTqWu0EFFXJJAh3vS/s400/IMG_5062.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5557299984860524946" />

Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-12998406760146088922010-12-26T14:16:00.009-06:002010-12-26T14:36:32.197-06:00Day 358 - Christmas EveAww, Christmas Eve is one of my favorite days of the year. Its tradition for us to always go to my granny's house. There's nothing like your mommas cookin...and when your momma cooks like her momma...there's nothing like your granny's cookin! :) It started snowing Christmas Eve morning and the boys went out for a 4-wheeler ride in the snow. Of course I made them wear the festive hats. Here's Chris, O and my brother Matthew gearing up for a snow ride!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi76FgA8Z2NcaakC7iXySluHXmmjUCglHh7gxWEiBo_TzoemxQV2rIZzk68kSkQBf4CUgYzP8RjFF9k-u_HNCDjIF5RXOMzYjWNTkCCKb7oBcP6cruh4LiiXaNHuD71RnD9SE_oVTjv7yiT/s400/IMG_7193%2528day358%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555088558366829730" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWJ9Ho9fhzwsAFd2p3cgA89h8gZFjq0KyJVS0aYMvTHW9bT7v3AjJAn89ijPi_W1JAJhqT3eVLCSD-6EJ7_AYr3e6ANPjIS7Pc42FMLNrozNAEqK0BjqzoUugiz9hbl26w46s23BpUPU9O/s400/IMG_7202%2528day358%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555088550220043426" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo-LNeo5RoU4hppDS_hiEFXOG8tVdnhoFqJKfUjXKysbrbdx8HY1hSYaw9xNS1ACc96V2zAVEx4TH8KinKMZYms82bq5WwaGmRCPOjyzELRjRMex157REkPIMq3K8K2W-9OPSWdQ_tABWg/s400/IMG_7205%2528day358%2529%252Cjpg.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555088548330538962" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiti8tWGoqypYRIhOkIpwLsjnukKBHtkqCCap3oQ7DLpEJ38S8cRVvQ7P25nno8LYamC-AuQkICYCRhiZY6OQdPO9-vy6-sR-cGrDW21rYnZ6BhtWBB-Eh2-fZBzH5a_xKT7gEfCLrwbDpi/s400/IMG_7210%2528day358%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555088546112455186" />
Jordo is still a bit young to be out riding in the snow, so he was a festive little reindeer in the house nice and cozy warm!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 286px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBzde53nlC8Dnxjs6mtcCQZ99x_LoZpi9rbONOAC-F8k973ApGZyVur_7sddUlcp-0FSApA7n9onD_Y5-BJI2q9g6BiwGNqWmME48NpXg9ghZDnfGJCzAOcSinByiCwlzdtA0Wm7aTY5lA/s400/IMG_7215%2528day358%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555089027976331282" />
After naptime and getting cleaned up we all headed to my grandmother's house for yummy meal and presents. I couldn't wait to see his and Jordon's face on Christmas morning!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLaG8fTKFelgoTvvZlSIUaoPem2GakdHsr4S2sI9ekEgFKlcKalhJ0uomXIFEdEEXU3gCkD7gNpXY-qMSuI3MN4BNgMhT_GQ9eIbs6X-OBGFARq1mDL5i0RpJBmmI-t2q7oLC2g36QEitq/s400/IMG_7276%2528day358%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555090632531299538" />
Merry Christmas Eve Everyone!

Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-33086609640884802032010-12-26T13:02:00.003-06:002010-12-26T13:05:22.164-06:00Day 356 - 32-years<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh077Zw195RNmBxjKdOeuy0DhHafaVCARFefLUpXfISvDovvvKoXf267TALW2eGxgtXfNC0S8DJXnZLyQL5OJ6YVRJWUXtcf_gohd2jXo3DQx4VSTAYj7cBxTIrO_xc5aW-N27JeahLl8pB/s400/IMG_7174%2528day356%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5555068973139948034" />
Whew, the last few days have been a whirlwind! We traveled to Kentucky to my moms house last Wednesday. That evening Owen and I decorated her tree. This is my ornament. My grandfather, who has since passed, made it for me for my first Christmas...32 years ago! It was pretty special to get to hang it on the tree myself. Its a little ceramic santa that says Melissa across the feet and the year 1978 on the back.

Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-30474052191332247172010-12-20T22:23:00.010-06:002010-12-20T22:50:43.010-06:00Day 354 - My Little Family ChristmasToday O and I went to visit some friends at my old work. Its always nice to see them and feels like I just left. I can't believe its been 3 years. We had a yummy lunch, too. When we got home we both crashed out on the couch and had too long of a nap....I wonder if he will ever fall asleep tonight?

We decided to exchange our family gifts tonight on a whim. At Owens request I started a fire first:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh1Iaah65v5NMpWb3Hogth0QlphyFFX50SduQ07zUd_gwkoH5NlEon_dHQOTXqXPIVN6L3gTNgfERB8UixMLdeHWlBzAJ2tn8fD-ahpovLIRKUl_sCE2sfN09HJhOC0aeH8aAqLpKA6MAo/s400/IMG_7132%2528day354%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552988453706086114" />
Owen helped pass out the presents
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpMEtjjh-g26QhjxOmMOEd9AkZ3wTQc14rJAEL3V1U4tCydLsBCAb_3AdQdE-tGeml2F2-UKblJU6zkYk1NdHxFqo1TCMlmEfWJ35cnNez9A6Wf9P74oejIMTkjFp5MstT_NjWE7I8XbOk/s400/IMG_7138%2528day354%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552988739297838594" />
He's a really good helper when it comes to opening. :) Daddy went first and got 2 pairs of new shoes (one that he knew about because O showed them to him a few weeks ago), a dress shirt, some coveralls (that I didn't wrap) and a new travel coffee mug.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKy5Cezv7j_h3eHdfqPRYI24mcwcA14BCpNp2k7G5fZouWGi1xrb-4p9mB6pIt1hdlXxxJ3dO1yNucAIv0JfUBRcalr20zzByLqg8qaO2wGeCxzt8uxy_Y8RABVlW_00fWuKwHWGPBzabT/s400/IMG_7143%2528day354%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552989091067475682" />
Then it was time for me to open the mystery gift that Chris and O made for me. I was so excited to see this....although a little birdie named Owen had already spilled the beans on what it was. Chris kept saying things like, "Its a lawn mower" or "Its a firetruck" last week and Owen said, "No its not! Its a laptop stand!" So funny. I had told Chris that I wanted one of those lap desk thingy-ma-jigy's that you sit your laptop on and its cushioned underneath. By golly, my very own Bob Villa made me one! And I love it, its so special to me. He and Owen painted on the top of it. Love it! They also got me a pair of shoes, a digital frame and a wireless mouse. Its a shoe Christmas here. :)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj8TGsqi5OGc4G2G0kmkHQSSRafkfid5IxfDSfVlv8ALHtNzXu4Dsa_YlwH0iKVfeEjxyrU23dNtbS7WTEvuQQ5KyfxUpqQ63NpKxhkCqEFDjzEW6w2nS9emaPa7JZO2rq7zrKIP_9oV24F/s400/IMG_7151%2528day354%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552990425405980274" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGhWW0YPGqB6c3BDqI8VseFHXhr0Yd_9gJ050yMoE39b1YsuIvaYQfSoGR8Poaieg5IP8Mwzk8OFBtzJWsiIuUbtPer70WqeKaEN5NeC09AuUT_gQ4x8ZQiJCW7UXVDV2YX-vK3WxlHA4Z/s400/IMG_7152%2528day354%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552990025355566386" />
I told Chris before we did this that I didn't have a gift for Owen to open. Santa is done shopping and has already delivered the goods to my moms house where we will be on Christmas morning a few weeks ago. I didn't even think about keeping something out to give to Owen from us! Sure enough, after we finished opening our gifts it happened. In the sweetest little voice Owen said, "Its my turn. Where's my present?" Chris and I just looked at each other and I stammered, "Ugh....well, hang on." I dug out from under the tree a gift for his cousin and let him open it! LOL! BTW, please ignore the fact that my shirt is on inside out...I didn't notice until I'd been wearing it this way for hours this afternoon.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEja4m5Wris6pWUOmyvDQgXNl1zgrM3iddCa9jcQDrGZx7UBB_IsIERXhDOpHFDua5yJ2fj3oQyqNDjRPYw5kEJnNwhp_J_e2rb1u7bMlA776reYqRuxV2FOWekAKP0vpZd8WgUM-KvmbQ1N/s400/IMG_7160%2528day354%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552991207132253794" />
I then said, "I think there's one more thing" and asked him and Chris to go to the bonus room. I loaded up his stocking with his stocking stuffers and we let him open it, too. :)I explained to Owen that he would be getting more gifts from Santa on Christmas! Who knew this Santa gig could be so tricky!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR4T9xXMYSa2PicYUr13hpJxNnX0gm1V_1CvvRtJZDAojHCgIdG1rwa7qQNJmsYH6twTei5ut20qd06NhbWMrh_aVFuF-kzCezRe2WOW4vNIMeNQl1rhf3A8qiibAjbEG1vg2_DipIllYP/s400/IMG_7163%2528day354%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552991450482760610" />
And that's it. After going to Church this AM (can you believe today was the last Sunday before Christmas), I was cooking away gearing up for our dinner tonight. The appetizers: cheeseball and crackers with little beef stick sausages. The menu: Lasagna, salad, bread, wine. My friend brought the dessert: yummy chocolate chip cookies with icing. Mmmmm.

Today's pics are by far not my best technically, but some of my favorites of these two to date. Amazing what bribing them with getting a photo before opening presents can do. O calls D his "best brother." Grant it, the sure do bicker a lot and get into a lot of mischief, but when it comes down to it they're best buds.

We had a fun night. Our neighbors are awesome. This marks the 2nd year that he has dressed up as Santa and stopped by. Yesterday he was actually working at a Church and stopped by on his way home. It was so cute. I went to the grocery last night and when I got home I told O that I ran into Santa while shopping and that he said he would stop by! I love it. He did great - sat on his lap, told him what he wanted (some more train tracks), even gave him a high five and a hug. Thank to Terry, for adding another special touch to the holiday season. And thanks to Gran Gran for getting him more train parts to his train set for Christmas because Santa told him he would get some. :)

Owen is all better and back to himself. He has slept through the night the past two nights and it starting to eat better. I guess all the broken sleep finally caught up to him yesterday because he took a huge nap all afternoon. We winterized the yard/porch yesterday and I did some cleaning, went through Owen's toybox making room for whats to come, and took a nap myself. Last night I was up late watching a movie called "It's Complicated." It was really good and funny! I was cracking up laughing out loud around midnight. I love a movie that makes you laugh like that. Less than a week until Christmas now! I can't believe it.
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-89182963639948420522010-12-18T12:57:00.004-06:002010-12-18T13:01:28.544-06:00Day 351 - There He Is!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSAoI5ppLL_nrb6F402zokvyntEtCkMN9TwUpVTqlCczma65SiMNHupIFSOJRgUTV4mDnjVJGrY_WHqPe2i7q8Jw21CloxdYtyrPeuctISCNBKFvqM9jM9tnJmzXs_kv3rTjcYbTWMlYra/s400/IMG_7075%2528day351%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552099153322467122" />
By Yesterday O was feeling great...really great. Like bouncing off the walls great! Ha! Like I said, its been a loooong week. We went for a haircut yesterday morning with Ms. Callie. Just a trim. :) I took this shot of him before we went and love it. Its a shame the focus is so soft. Trying to get him to sit still at a shutter speed of 1/60 is just not gonna happen. ha! We then ran some errands and got a few things at the craft store. My throat has been sore this week, too so I went ahead and went to a walk in clinic to get checked out. No strep for me, hooray! Don't know what's wrong with me, but glad its not strep. And glad O is feeling better.
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-55548675908562569092010-12-18T12:43:00.002-06:002010-12-18T12:47:38.096-06:00Day 350 - The Face of Strep Throat<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiMexWLT9sJN465Mm14nEGpPM_GLUDU9iXqjbgYkkkOLTDaQALJf88q6SPOCU10rdmgpUlivAGUtahtm7hFdq89G6SF4biDB-urYuE9Y66YKZgQU79Ly9P9kDkaJj_m6QgDwHtRwg94eFku/s400/IMG_7058%2528day350%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552095679993387746" />
Thursday am Owen was still running a fever and wasn't any better so I took him to the doctor. This is the face of strep throat. My poor guy...took him in on Monday for a flu shot, and left the office with strep throat. Its so irritating! I hate the doctors office. The good news is, this was the last time he got upset about not feeling well. By Thursday afternoon he was feeling much better and getting back to his romping and stomping self, aside from eating and sleeping. Its been a looooong week. He missed school all week and it was his last week there until after New Year's. However, we did drive by the school on Thursday and drop off his gift for his teacher and a classmate and the director brought his gifts out to him which I thought was sweet.
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-64973018947623047232010-12-18T12:35:00.003-06:002010-12-18T12:39:09.252-06:00Day 349 - A Big Bowl<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-foBZQtVxKr_yxgB9HBZg0J_ZdrUUs4g18F3blxd2embjskpXroGE9v4wwYC29j6KpLctdaECbzZOrkUXzkfFn9v8bWlv8VQVra7QZxpQEGdoJM7SvE5IJkiKNuxCBB2yD3sGvORQ7ixQ/s400/IMG_7047%2528day349%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5552093311439090242" />
On Tuesday Owen started running a fever and slept nearly all day...this is soooo not like him. I knew at that time something was up, I just wasn't sure what. I had just gotten him the flu shot booster on Monday so I didn't know if he was having flu-like symptoms from that or picked up something at the doctors office. Momma was not happy. He wasn't eating well either and was just pitiful when his motrin or tylenol weren't kicked in. Wednesday morning he woke up to another low grade fever so I kept him home. He still had his lack of appetite so when he asked for some popcorn I happily made him some. I told him to pick out a bowl...he chose the BIGGEST bowl in our entire house. He literally can fit inside the bowl. You pick your battles. The size of the bowl wasn't one I wanted to fight at the time. Here he's enjoying his snack in the bowl as big him and cheesing for the camera.
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-68195700307023190122010-12-14T10:42:00.002-06:002010-12-14T10:44:59.975-06:00Day 348 - Metro, the Black Nosed Reindog<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 286px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPFPVEbHi0hppQB4vuyan6Fvuz3EqyB96Iyv4x6jk9tt4MjelEaYbai3fIfjBXo_Gy84g6vk9bFjQQ6NZg52mB-o50FyfeVK-He1K4RktayWzgBKzS5G7IdNAXpEpj9CxgH5jDoEQ75VQR/s400/IMG_7041%2528day348%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5550579860231429970" />
Taking pics of my dog with reindeer antlers on his head kind of falls into the same category as trying to photograph my child...a little bribery goes a long way! A little birdie tells me that his Gran Gran just may have gotten him some additional pieces to it for Christmas. :) Him playing here in his jammies by the tree with the stockings in the background looked like the perfect picture for this snowy day.
We had a little scare this morning. I had to call poison control. Owen bit into a cascade dishwasher packet. Jeesh. The man said he should be okay but just to watch him for skin irritation. He has his 3-year checkup this afternoon so we'll let the doctor know what happened, too. I hear there is no school tomorrow, which does not make me happy. Its Owens last week before the long holiday break and I was hoping to enjoy it. Sigh. Snow oh snow. We started out this very cold day by going to Church, followed by a trip to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa. I love the innocence of children. Owen sweetly asked as we were on our way, "Daddy, how far is the North Pole?" It melted my heart, I guess he thought we were driving there. We explained Santa was at the mall today. :) Bass Pro is amazing at Christmas time, and who knew there were 1,200,694, 209 different kinds of fishing polls. Jeez luiz. Anyway, he got to play with some of the toy displays and then had his turn on the big mans lap where he frowned and would not speak. Hilarious.

We got home a little after 2:00. I put O's jammies on him and put on my comfy clothes and we've stayed in all day. The snow keeps coming down and all the surrounding county school are out tomorrow. We've probably gotten roughly 2 inches I would guess, which is probably nothing to some of you. :) I took this one of O looking out the window at the snow. I love his little curl sticking out from the side of his head. While snuggling on the couch for a little bit today he asked me where Santa's sleigh was today. I explained he probably parked it on the roof. Some of these questions I find myself totally unprepared for! ;)

I forgot to move Jom last night. . . that's the name of our Elf on a Shelf Elf. Its pronounced Jon, but Jom. I don't know where he's getting these names...kind of like his "brother named Eppie that he has that lives close to his Mamaw in Infield." That was news to me yesterday. He's so funny. I have to remember to move Jom tonight. Luckily O didn't notice today. He is at such a great age for Christmas. I love it.
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-21115218710295365842010-12-12T19:15:00.003-06:002010-12-12T19:19:37.081-06:00Day 345 - Fantasy of LightsLast night we went riding around looking at Christmas lights. I have to admit, I didn't know how well this was going to work out since after the first few streets O was crying to go home. Go figure, huh. We ended up driving out to the fairgrounds where you can pay $5 to drive through the fantasy of lights. It was a rainy cold night and I brought coffee, cookies and Christmas cd's. I'm starting a tradition. Here are a few of my favorites from our drive. I love Christmas!
<img style="display:block; Its a special little gift just from mommy. Some day (a long time from now) I hope he to be able to give them all to him and hope he appreciates them as much as I now adore the little ornaments he has made me. It wasn't until I had a child, did I know how much you can love a little paper ornament. This is the one I got him this year. He loves it, and has been known to take it off the tree and fly it around. Hopefully its sturdy enough to make it through the season.
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-39215524489565913402010-12-06T16:32:00.002-06:002010-12-06T16:34:51.136-06:00Day 339 - My dad<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 286px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkeHh-Efh6LP7KUhQdf7IgJfX0XoqW7Kb3GXvIFExwN4nGwmA9J2K5qnWACYoLMGoVFxPi_Zv_Jj8oALOw_FMnpyR4Pjv1uwF7pmqSmjCho6MCAEDii33wpoe7OQoIjNRhQfeuFKon8cuy/s400/IMG_6953%2528day339%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547701373109627394" />
Who knew my dad could play the harmonica? On this particular night Owen fell asleep on the couch early for the sitter. Chris had a meeting and I had errands to run. When I got home I took these pictures and then wanted to attempt to get a pic of owen sleeping under the tree. Well....big mistake! He woke up and was still awake at 11:30 at night! So much for THAT idea.
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4348055733671503227.post-76880162153761910112010-12-06T16:17:00.002-06:002010-12-06T16:21:28.455-06:00Day 335 - I'm back!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwXckYEV4s7YNGOymSAh7wnfv3qooA1l6uBJCbLoL71IHa7V_qxhxDH0UyiljMkAEd42blzuwDdTQYLDx25QdXDyCJSDh8csAfEhtRjQTwbnXUFp8fo4pQv2G-1mn1trsKIoAN5BLcPYSt/s400/IMG_1415%2528L%2529.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5547697871278956690" />
Wow, it really stinks to have your charger break on you and both batteries be dead on your camera! Although some days I may not feel like taking pics, it stinks to not have the option. Last Wednesday my friend Courtney came over with her kiddos to take their Christmas pics. She brought her camera and luckily our chargers are the same so I was able to give one of my batteries a little boost. My new charger arrived later that day I think. I used her camera for the shoot and am still in awe that we were able to capture this image of the three of them smiling! Overall it was a pretty successful shoot. :)
Melissa Weberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10508305290458779360noreply@blogger.com0
