Day 243 - Studio Progress

As I told you a while ago, we are working to make an in-home studio for me. I thought I would share some pictures of the progress so far.
So here is what will be the main entry for clients. Its through our garage walk-through door. I have put up a curtain to block the mess that is my husbands domain...you would think it may be easier to just clean it up. No. Not the case here. We gave the bottom part of the wall a fresh coat of white paint and the upper a color called "online" from Sherwin Williams. Its like a bluish grey color that I love. As you can see in the photo, there's still things to get completed out here. The risers for the steps need to be placed, the floor cleaned, and photos hung in the upper area by the steps. I've also had the idea of somehow hanging some photos ont he actual black curtain somehow with some cute clips or something. Any suggestions or thoughts?

This is what my view of the entry to the studio will look like. Coming off our kitchen this is how I will get up to the bonus room. Through this doorway and to the right is the garage door that clients will come through. To the left are 4 steps that lead up to the bonus room where the actual studio will be. My neighbor is helping me out by making a curtain that will hang in this walkway and probably stay pulled open, like in my makeshift drawing, but can be closed if need be...if the kitchen is a particular disaster that day. ;) I plan to also hang more photos in this entry. The color of this wall - the blue/grey - is the color that we painted in the garage. You can get a better idea here.

Moving on to the bonus room is where my actual shooting space and closet/storage are. This is our family bonus room as well so what you can't see in these photos are a sectional couch to the left of the shooting space, a closet with O's toys in it that I have chosen as a hiding place, and also a closet with our washer and dryer in it. We will still be able to utilize this space as a family if we ever want to, but we primarily hang out in our living room anyway. Here are the pics of the shooting space and storage.

As you can see, we still have quite a bit to do, but we've certainly made a dent. I'm so excited to get this completed!
