My mom told me she wants a picture of a hummingbird so I've just spent the past 40 minutes stalking hummingbirds! Jeez Louiz they are fast! I thought we had one, but I think there are three out there fighting. I heard they are territorial. They are so tiny and would dart from our neighbors tree, over to our rose bushes then over to a crepe myrtle bush (sp?), then sometimes to the feeder where I was trying to capture them. I sat and watched one sitting in a rose bush for a while. Had I not known he was there I would have never seen him. Pretty dang cool. I could have sat there longer but it was getting dark and I was losing light. However, I've found the perfect spot to sit and stalk my prey. :) I may try again another day.

Gorgeous! I bought a feeder, but am yet to hang it. I should get on it, huh! Those little boogers are fast!
ReplyDeleteI love these! I need to get our feeder filled. Every year the same 2 hummingbirds come back to see us.
